Abstract
ⶠCr2O3/H2SO4 chemical etching increased the surface concentration of CO bond and resulted in the partially exposure of carbon fibers. The surface roughness also increased. ⶠPEEK/Cf composites were metalized by copper electroless plating and then nickel electroplating. ⶠThe high adhesive strength was mainly attributed to the bonding between carbon fiber and metal layer.
