Abstract
â¶ Degradation of Hydrophobic monolayer in contact with water. â¶ Growth of condensed silane mounds with hydrophilic sites around during immersion in water. â¶ Effect of nitrogen annealing on the improved aging properties of FOTS monolayer have been investigated. â¶ CF3 and CF2 groups on annealed surface explains the effect of annealing.
