Abstract
ⶠWe calculate effective work functions (Ï+,Ïe) for ionic and electronic emissions. ⶠAll of Ï+,Ïe and contrast (ÎÏ* â¡Â Ï+ â Ïe) agrees well with experimental data. ⶠÎÏ* = 4c δm (1 â δm) for monocrystallization degree (δm) of 0.5-1. ⶠFor W, ÎÏ* = c = 0.53 ± 0.09 eV for δm â²Â 0.5, agreeing with experimental data. ⶠOur theoretical model gives a clue to clarify the peculiarity of work function.
