Abstract
- The adsorption of fibrinogen on metal oxides was studied in situ using ellipsometry.
- Ta2O5, Nb2O5, TiO2 and ZrO2 thin films were the surfaces of study.
- Surface chemical composition, energy, wettability and roughness were characterized.
- The adsorption dynamics exhibited a dependence on the surface water wettability.
- On hydrophilic films, adsorption was correlated to surface energy polar character.
