Abstract
- We design an anode electrode with the carbon buffer layer.
- The carbon buffer layer can control the flux of the methanol solution in the anode.
- Methanol can be oxidized more efficiently and the rate of methanol crossover is controlled.
- The anode with carbon buffer layer results in high performance of direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC).
