Abstract
► Different plasma polymerized films were generated on hydroxyapatite substrates. ► The effect of surface chemical functionalities on behavior of hASCs was examined. ► The NH2 modified surfaces encourage osteogenic differentiation of hASCs. ► The COOH modified surfaces promote cell adhesion and spreading of hASCs.
