Abstract
► The duplex (Ti:N)-DLC coating with TiN crystalline phase on the MAO coating was deposited on AZ80 Mg alloy. ► The binding strength of duplex (Ti:N)-DLC/MAO coating was improved significantly. ► The duplex (Ti:N)-DLC/MAO coatings showed excellent tribological and corrosive properties.
