Abstract

âº Water breakdown plasma was proposed to etch a carbon fiber reinforced composite sample. âº Polymer layer can be effectively removed without damaging the carbon fiber. âº Dependence of the etching depth on laser parameters was shown. âº Maximum etching depth is around 350Â Î¼m with 50 laser shots.
