Abstract
► We have grown ZnO nanorods and thin films on the gold coated glass electrode. ► The fabricated ZnO nanorods and thin films exhibited good crystal quality. ► The comparative study of chemical sensing of ZnO nanorods and thin films was done. ► The ZnO nanorods have shown the higher sensitivity and lower limit of detection for the analyte.
