Abstract
⺠BaNb2O6 epitaxial films have been successfully grown on LaAlO3 (1 0 0) substrate by PLD. ⺠Room temperature ferromagnetism (RTFM) has been observed in all the samples. ⺠The observed RTFM in BaNb2O6 films is predominantly induced by oxygen vacancies. ⺠Ab inito calculations are performed to verify our prediction.
