Abstract
► Hybrid particles consisting of dielectric loss of BaTiO3 and magnetic loss of Ni have been successfully prepared through electroless depositing Ni on BaTiO3 particles. ► Microstructure at different stages of the electroless plating was investigated. ► Influence of the Ni content on the electromagnetic and microwave absorption properties of the hybrid particles was also studied. ► Electromagnetic and microwave absorption performances can readily be tuned by changing Ni content.
