Abstract
⺠We used very simple and effective modification method to treat PAN-based carbon fiber by liquid oxidation and coupling agent. ⺠Carbon fiber surface functional groups were analyzed by LRS and XPS. ⺠Proper treatment of carbon fiber can prove an effective way to increase composite's performance. ⺠Carbon fiber surface modifications by oxidation and APS could strengthen fiber activity and enlarge surface area as well as its roughness.
