Abstract
⺠TiO2 nano particles were bonded to the hydroxyl groups of oligomer TMPSi. ⺠Functionalized NPs formed micro and nano structured aggregates during casting. ⺠The solvent used determined the superhydrophobic surface properties. ⺠Solvent xylene: self-cleaning surface. Solvent water: high adhesion. ⺠High contact angle hysteresis (aqueous solvent) was due to free OH groups on the surface.
