Abstract
⺠We examine microstructural and temperature evolutions of Cu/Fe and Cu/Ag tribopairs. ⺠Plastic deformation, amorphization and atom mixing are observed for both tribopairs. ⺠For Cu/Fe, amorphous Cu recrystallizes into bcc structure on Fe surface. ⺠Two peak values appear in temperature profile and shift into Cu Part during sliding. ⺠For Cu/Ag, flatter temperature profile appears with no shift of peak value position.
