Abstract
⺠Interfacial reaction between glass coating and superalloy substrate is identified. ⺠Gaseous products of Zn and/or Na resulted in bubbling of glass coating. ⺠Alumina particles addition suppresses the progressing of interfacial reaction. ⺠Intact alumina/glass composite coatings were prepared. ⺠Mechanism of alumina particles suppressing interfacial reaction was discussed.
