Abstract
⺠AFM, FESEM, and TEM are useful to obtain quantitative information on silane layers. ⺠Information on layers can be linked to adhesion and failure type of hybrids. ⺠Controlled Fe2O3-type surface is needed to achieve uniform silane layer. ⺠Silane layer on controlled oxide layer has more N-species to react with plastic.
