Abstract
⺠Nanometeric barrier layer was formed on the surface of NiTi thin film after anodization in 1 M acetic acid. The thickness of nanometer oxide layer was depended upon the anodization time. ⺠Increasing the voltages from 2 to 10 V had a significant influence on the corrosion behavior of NiTi thin films. The corrosion resistance of anodized NiTi film at 6 V was about 10 times greater than untreated NiTi. ⺠By anodization of annealed austenitic NiTi film, the corrosion resistance was improved.
