Abstract
⺠Nanostructured TiCN coating was deposited by atmospheric reactive plasma spraying. ⺠The coating was mainly composed of columnar nanograins perpendicular to the substrate surface. ⺠The nanostructured coating displayed superior hardness and toughness characteristics.
