Abstract
⺠A large surface area of activated ash with well-defined particle sizes and porous structure was obtained from waste oil fly ash. ⺠This activated ash provided high adsorption capacity for carbon dioxide compared to conventional adsorbents. ⺠Removal of CO2 by the treated ash is an endothermic process which can be used at high temperatures.
