Abstract
▶ Surface properties of 316L stainless steel and TA6 V alloys were modified using a femtosecond laser. ▶ Irradiation conditions enabled to create a 3-scale topography made of superimposed periodic patterns on the processed surfaces. ▶ Initially hydrophilic surfaces were made hydrophobic after treatment ▶ Increasing the laser pulse number enhanced the hydrophobic behavior
