Abstract
â¶ Surface properties of 316L stainless steel and TA6Â V alloys were modified using a femtosecond laser. â¶ Irradiation conditions enabled to create a 3-scale topography made of superimposed periodic patterns on the processed surfaces. â¶ Initially hydrophilic surfaces were made hydrophobic after treatment â¶ Increasing the laser pulse number enhanced the hydrophobic behavior
