Abstract
⺠Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) Synthesised and characterised, DLC surface modified with Nitrogen (N-DLC) Adsorption study using amino acid glycine. ⺠Investigation of glycine configuration using surface energy measurement, spectroscopic ellipsometry, FTIR and Raman spectroscopes Nitrogen content DLC decreases the hydrophobicity. ⺠Mechanism of adsorption investigated change due to esterification of carboxyl species Small amount of nitrogen content DLC enhance the glycine adsorption.
