Abstract
⺠The surface of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles were modified by poly(l-phenylalanine)(PPha) via the ring opening polymerization method. ⺠PPha chains on the surface of HA could main its colloid stability in organic solvent and prevent the aggregation of HA nanoparticles. ⺠The biocompatibility of PPha modified HA was good, demonstrating its potential application in bone tissue engineering.
