Abstract
⺠Articaine molecules are localized in the head group region of the bilayer. ⺠Articaine molecules are oriented predominantly parallel to the bilayer surface. ⺠Neutral form of articaine can penetrate across membrane. ⺠Presence of articaine increases dipole electrostatic potential inside bilayer.
