Abstract
⺠The vibrational relaxation time of NO bound to the heme ranged from 3.5 to 34 ps. ⺠T1 of bound NO in ferric hemin is slightly longer than that in ferric heme proteins. ⺠Intramolecular vibrational relaxation dominates in NO bound to heme. ⺠Hot band influence on GR kinetics obtained by transient bleach of NO band in HbNO.
