Abstract
⺠We measure photoelectron kinetic energy distributions from gold nanopillars. ⺠Electron kinetic energies higher than those from a flat gold surface are measured. ⺠A classical model suggests electron acceleration by plasmon-enhanced fields. ⺠An average plasmon-field-enhancement factor between 25 and 39 is determined.
