Abstract
⺠Absorption of light in highly oriented pyrolitic graphite is enhanced by nanostructuring the surface. ⺠Light absorption results in selective heating of nano-disc shape structures on HOPG. ⺠Selective heating is determined using Raman scattering. ⺠Selective heating of discs by 350 K is observed.
