Abstract
► Nucleation and crystal growth is studied in glasses annealed just above Tg. ► During crystal growth, excess network modifiers are shoved away from the crystal. ► A floppy region around the crystal provides fast growth. ► The growth is decelerated when the network around the crystal is rigid. ► The crystal size is a function of excess network former concentration.
