Abstract
⺠We study properties of Ph2Tz and (PhTz)nPh as candidates for organic electronics. ⺠The synthesis of Ph2Tz was performed through a modified Pinner-type reaction. ⺠IR/Raman spectra allowed to conclude that Ph2Tz is nearly planar in liquid phase. ⺠Electronic structure was studied by UV-Vis/TD-DFT methods in different solvents. ⺠Bandgap, ELUMO, electron mobility predict some n-type character for limit polymer.
