Abstract
⺠Excitation and electron temperatures are measured during plasma evolution. ⺠We study the temporal dependence of ion fractions versus ionization potential. ⺠Self-absorption effects on spectral line intensities are evaluated and corrected. ⺠Conclusions are drawn on the existence of thermal equilibrium in laser-based plasmas.
