Abstract
⺠Scattered wave packet formalism provides a new method for open quantum systems. ⺠Number of grid points is reduced for the calculation of the reaction probability. ⺠Signature of a quantum resonance can be captured. ⺠Excellent results are obtained for a one-dimensional model chemical reaction.
