Abstract
⺠Electronic and magnetic properties of (5, 5)-SWNT doped with Pt clusters and chains. ⺠Pt-doping can change metallic (5, 5)-SWNT to semiconducting CNT. ⺠Oxygen adsorption on Pt-doped (5, 5)-SWNT is barrierless process. ⺠Pt-doping reduces the activation barrier of oxygen dissociation reaction. ⺠Adsorbed oxygen has 2O2- - character.
