Abstract
⺠Photo-activated adenylyl cyclase (nPAC) from Naegleria gruberi NEG-M was expressed. ⺠Photodynamics of BLUF domain in BLUF sensor - cyclase actuator protein was studied. ⺠Photo-excitation caused BLUF photo-cycling and permanent protein re-conformation. ⺠Re-conformed protein enabled photo-induced flavin reduction by proton transfer. ⺠Fluorescence of flavin in dark- and light-adapted state of nPAC was characterized.
