Abstract
⺠Carbon analogue of methyl ester of methyl red has been synthesized for the first time. ⺠The new molecule (trans-MDMASB) shows large dipole moment difference of â¼20 D upon excitation. ⺠It shows ns time-dependent red shift in emission wavelength in DMSO solvent. ⺠The molecules exihibits stimulated emission and strong multiphoton induced emission.
