Abstract
Dynamics of the cavity ring down (CRD) signal of the bË3A2âaË3B2andcË3B2âaË3B2 transitions in acetylene was investigated. The aË3B2 state was populated by energy transfer in the (COF)2-(C2H2) van der Waals clusters formed in the supersonic molecular beam (SMB) conditions. The AË1Au state of (COF)2 was excited by tunable narrow-band laser radiation in the absorption range of the 401(41,a1) vibronic band. A second tunable laser induced the studied transitions in cis-acetylene, at around 17,535 cmâ1. The recorded spectrum was assigned to the cË3B2,31(a1)âaË3B2, 00 transition. Zeeman effect was investigated for several rotational lines recorded at 0.05 cmâ1 resolution.
