Abstract
The etching reactions of PtNi NPs (Ni0 − 2e− → Ni2+; 1/2O2 + H2O + 2e− → 2OH−) and the precipitation reaction of NiAl hydroxide (2Ni2+ + Al3+ + 6OH− → [Ni2Al(OH)6]+) together produce a number of PtNi nanoframes and concave NPs, which are almost covered by NiAl hydroxide membranes.92
