Abstract
- Silver nanoparticles produced via laser ablation are coated with acetonitrile ligands.
- Particles produced in the 10-30Â nm size range are soluble in acetonitrile.
- The silver particles have plasmon resonances expected for this size range.
- Deep-UV spectra exhibit acetonitrile resonances enhanced by the metal surface interaction.
- Strong UV emission suggests that small particles are also present.
