Abstract
(a) Schematic of the processes occurring inside the P3HT:PCBM blend. On illuminating the sample for a longer time, the P3HT and the PCBM both get fragmented and evaporate, resulting in the collapse of the layer, (b) schematic mechanism of the outer aluminum electrode showing the two different entrance channels for water and molecular oxygen. The molecular oxygen diffuses through microscopic pinholes and water mainly diffuses in between the aluminum grains.
