Abstract
⿢Single-phased Lu2SiO5:Ce3+ phosphors were synthesized by a core⿿shell approach.⿢Contact area between SiO2 and Lu2O3 is favorable to the formation of Lu2SiO5 phase.⿢Phase transformation processes of the powders is amorphous Lu(OH)3 ⿿ Lu2O3 ⿿ Lu2SiO5.⿢Blue emission of the LSO:Ce3+ phosphors is due to allowed 5d ⿿ 4f transition of Ce3+.
