Abstract
- Adsorption of water on rutile SnO2, TiO2, and mixed SnxTi1âxO2 (x = 0.5) surface.
- TiO2 prefers molecular adsorption.
- SnO2 prefers dissociation of water with barrier.
- Mixed SnO2/TiO2 surface show spontaneous dissociation of water.
- Higher charge on Ti atoms at the top layer of mixed surface favors dissociation of water.
