Abstract
The expression for free energy of a curved bilayer was deduced. We evaluated the free energy of the bilayer as a function of film thickness in different curved interfaces, and identified structural transition point of film thickness, at which a monolayer shifts to a bilayer. This work provides a better understanding of the phase transition of diblock copolymers in a confined curvature and has the potential to help design nanofibers with desired number of layers.
