Abstract
- AuOxFyâ species (x + y = 2-5) are systematically studied for the first time.
- All AuOxFyâ species belong to the class of superhalogen anions.
- AuOxFyâ species are stable only up to +5 oxidation state of Au.
- AuOxFyâ exist in the form of (AuOxâ2Fyâ)O2 complexes for x + y = 5.
