Abstract
- We study B/P pair and Al/N pair doping (5, 0) carbon nanotubes with seven configurations.
- All the seven configurations can open the band gap of nanotubes.
- The band gaps for B/P pair and Al/N pair doping have similar law about band gaps.
- We analysis the law of band gaps in terms of the symmetry about structures.
