Abstract
The controlled crystallization of α-Fe2O3 nanoparticles with different sizes and shapes in the presence of glycine was examined by transmission electron microscopy. From the ZFC curve the Morin transition temperature was found to decline from 221 K to 181 K as the size decreases. Further the 73 nm size particle exhibits a spin glass behavior showing bifurcation below room temperature as manifested in the FC and ZFC magnetization curves.
