Abstract
Relatively greater increase in the intensity of the 'eg' pre-edge spectral feature in the Fe K-edge XAS spectra of LaFe1âxNixO3 (left) indicates increase of Fe4+ cations having an additional electron hole available for electron transition in the 'eg' band as compared to Fe3+ (right).
