Abstract

- A phenothiazine-diketopyrrolopyrrole polymer (PPT-DPP) was synthesized.
- The polymer's optical band-gap and HOMO level were 1.63 eV and −5.20 eV, respectively.
- PPT-DPP-based solar cells showed power conversion efficiencies up to 1.8%.
- Device efficiency was dependent on interconnectedness of the PPT-DPP and PCBM domains.
