Abstract
- The decomposition of nitrobenzene and nitrotoluene radical anions was studied by tandem mass spectrometry.
- The only fragment is NO2-, formed by cleavage of the C-N bond.
- All radical anions have much lower C-N bond energies compared to the neutral.
