Abstract
- The NC stretching peak of 2,6-DMPI is blue-shifted upon adsorption on Au.
- A further blue-shift of NC peak occurs when CO is streamed over 2,6-DMPI on Au.
- The blue-shift of NC peak corresponds to increase in the surface potential of Au.
- Increase in surface potential of Au suggests the transfer of electrons from Au to CO.
