Abstract
Non radioative transition and ionization of 5-methylpyrimidine at S1 are probed by the slow-electron velocity-map imaging (SEVI) technique. Time-dependent photoelectron images give the direct evidence for intersystem crossing. Cationic vibrational structure as well as adiabatic ionization potential is determined accurately.
