Abstract
⺠A model explaining the unusual magnetic properties of the Ni2Dy complex is reported. ⺠The model accounts for the observed magnetic susceptibility and magnetization. ⺠The anisotropic Dy ion facilitates the single-molecule magnet behavior of the system.
