Abstract
⺠Alignment of electronic energy levels at metal-water interfaces is studied using DFT. ⺠LUMO pinning, vacuum alignment and HOMO pinning regimes are observed. ⺠Only vacuum aligned systems qualify, electronically, as electrochemical interfaces.
